You are encouraged to do an online check-in prior your arrival at the Airport to minimise face-to-face contact and crowding in Check-in Hall.

Drop Off
Parking is not allowed in the drop off area.
Access to the Check-in Hall
There is a single entrance to the Check-in Hall:
All remaining entrances are closed until further notice.
The Police shall control vehicles on Passenger Terminal kerbside and access to the Check in Hall.
Meeters/Greeters shall not be allowed to enter the Check-in Hall but may have access to the Public Galleries at Level 2 of the Passenger Terminal.
Only departing passengers with a valid air ticket and authorised staff will be granted access to the Check-in Hall. Exception will be made for a person accompanying a passenger with reduced mobility or special assistance needs, or an unaccompanied minor (UM).
Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) staff or Airport staff shall monitor the temperature of passengers/staff at the entrance. Anyone showing sign of fever will be directed to the Medical Emergency Unit for further investigation.

Foreign visitors may claim for a refund of the VAT that they have paid on their shopping in Mauritius. Only purchases from shops authorised by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) and registered with the MCCI displaying the sign are entitled to the refund.
Arrive early at the airport to allow for the VAT refund to be processed and goods to be inspected, if necessary.
Refundable Amount
Around fifty shops in Mauritius provide duty free and duty paid facilities and to benefit from these facilities, goods must be purchased from shops displaying the sign.
Cabin/Hand Carry Items (less than 7kg)
Present your DFA sales receipt to the MCCI Tax Refund Counter for collection of your duty free items.
Hold Luggage Items (more than 7kg)
Hold luggage items will be delivered in the International Check-In Hall further to prior arrangement with the Shop Operator and MCCI.
Change any currency prior to entering the Immigration area. Currency Exchange services are not available after Immigration.
The Departure Hall for Rodrigues is located at Level 0. The International Departure Hall is located at Level 1.
