INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

 
Only departing passengers with a valid air ticket will be granted access to the International Departure Hall.  Exception will be made for a person accompanying a passenger with reduced mobility or special assistance needs, or an unaccompanied minor (UM).
 

Passengers are kindly requested to check with their airlines for flight information or for the latest travel advisory before their travel. 

 

DOMESTIC FLIGHTS TO RODRIGUES

Only departing passengers with a valid air ticket will be granted access to the Rodrigues Departure Hall.  Exception will be made for a person accompanying a passenger with reduced mobility or special assistance needs, or an unaccompanied minor (UM).

Passengers are kindly requested to check with Air Mauritius for flight information or for the latest travel advisory before their travel. 

 

Travel restrictions valid up to 31 August 2021

No passengers will be allowed entry in Rodrigues except for those who have been authorised. For such passengers, the following sanitary conditions will apply:

  • Passengers have to wear surgical masks at all times including during the flight.     
  • Body temperature check will be carried out at SSR International Airport and Plaine Corail Airport by the Health Authorities.   
  • Any passenger having temperature above 37.8 degrees Celcius and/or any symptoms of COVID 19, will be directed to the Medical Post, under supervision of the Airport Doctor.
  • Passengers will be subjected to 14 days quarantine in Mauritius in a state designated facility under strict control and supervision of the Ministry of Health and Wellness. 
  • PCR test for passengers will be carried out on day 0, 7 and day 14 in Mauritius.  
  • On the 15th day, all passengers who are tested negative for COVID-19 will be authorized to proceed to Rodrigues. They will be transferred directly from quarantine centre to airport for departure through a sanitary corridor. 
  • Passengers arriving in Rodrigues will be subjected to a quarantine period of 7 days in a designated establishment in Rodrigues under the strict control and supervision of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.
  • A PCR test for COVID-19 will be performed on the 7th day of quarantine in Rodrigues. 
  • All personnel involved in the transfer of passengers shall wear full PPE.
  • Physical distancing of at least 1m should be maintained by all staff and passengers within the Terminal and public areas.
