DOMESTIC FLIGHTS TO AND FROM RODRIGUES

Passengers are kindly requested to check with Air Mauritius for flight information or for the latest travel advisory before their travel. 

 

Travel Restrictions valid up to 30 June 2022

Only domestic passenger flights will be allowed to and from Rodrigues subject to the following conditions being strictly complied with:   

1) For Mauritian citizens, occupational permit holders and resident permit holders:   
a) Fully vaccinated with two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and a booster dose as well as those vaccinated with one dose of Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine and a booster dose of any other Covid-19 vaccine or  
b) Vaccinated with two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, provided that the administration of their second dose does not date back to less than 14 days and not more than six months or  
c) Vaccinated with one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine (Janssen), provided that the administration of their vaccine does not date back to less than 28 days and not more than six months or  
d) A person who has to travel to the island of Mauritius from the island of Rodrigues for emergencies, as duly authorised by the Ministry of Health and Wellness or    
e) A person who has, further to being tested as being infected  with Covid-19, recovered therefrom and has, between 40 days   and 6 months after the date of being tested as such, been administered with a dose of Covid-19 vaccine.   
 
2)  Non-Mauritian citizens vaccinated with a locally recognized Covid-19 vaccine provided they meet the following vaccination condition:     
a) They are vaccinated with two doses of a locally recognised Covid-19 vaccine and that 14 days have elapsed since the administration of the second dose or  
b) They are vaccinated with one dose of the Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine provided that 28 days have elapsed  since the administration of the vaccine or 
c) A person who has, further to being tested as being infected with Covid-19, recovered therefrom and has, between 40 days  and 6 months after the date of being tested as such, been  administered with a dose of covid-19 vaccine.  
 
3) Notwithstanding the above, any person having been tested Covid-19 positive within 7 days of departure shall not be allowed to board a flight to Mauritius.           
 
4) Exceptions would be made for minors. Other emergencies will be considered on a case to case basis.
