SSR International Airport is the first airport in Africa to receive the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation.
The ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation programme recognizes the commitment to health and welfare of passengers, airport staff and the public, by supporting airports assessing the new sanitary protocols introduced further to the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with ICAO Council Aviation Restart Task Force (CART) recommendations along with industry best practices. It is designed to help reassure the travelling public that airport facilities remain safe and that necessary precautions are being taken to reduce any risk to their health.
