Airport Terminal Operations Limited (ATOL) is a Mauritian company created in 2008 and is responsible for the operation of the new terminal at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. Its shareholders are the State of Mauritius via Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (90%) and Aéroports de Paris Management (ADPM), a subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris (ADP) Group with a 10% stake.
Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (AML)
Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (AML) was founded in 1999 and is the owner of the airport infrastructure. The Company is responsible for all activities at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. The Government of Mauritius is the major shareholder of this public company, which is committed to providing adequate and efficient airport infrastructure to support the country’s development goals. In 2012, AML posted a profit of MUR1.2 billion with a turnover of MUR3.7 billion. The number of passengers handled in 2012 reached 2.7 million. There are currently 17 airlines serving more than 35 destinations through Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. AML is also the majority shareholder (80%) of the Mauritius Duty Free Paradise, which is the entity responsible for all duty-free retail operations at the airport.
Aéroports de Paris Management
Aéroports de Paris Management was founded in 1990 and is a fully-owned subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris. The Company is engaged in the operation of airports around the world and/or acquiring a holding in airport companies, on its own or in conjunction with financial investors and other industry partners. ADPM acts as long-term airport operator and investor with proven expertise in various fields, including infrastructure commissioning (terminals, runways, etc.), operational optimisation, airport retail development and assistance in airport certification.
